Amy is an award-winning children's book writer who writes about children as heroes of their own stories. As a mother and elementary school teacher, she knows adults can learn a lot from children by listening to their unique perspectives on the world. Amy is a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and the Florida Writers Association. When she's not writing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, reading, trying new food, listening to music, and rollerblading.
